The Communications and Marketing team supports the UL Lafayette brand and mission through strategic, integrated communications and marketing initiatives. The team collaborates with faculty, staff, and students to convey stories of teaching, research, innovation and service accomplishments. Services include brand management; print, digital and web communications, and design; marketing and promotion; campus wayfinding and service scaping; issues management; crisis communication; and media relations counsel.

A photography position within the Office of Communications and Marketing provides students the opportunity to work in an agency-like atmosphere where creative problem-solving and collaboration with colleagues lead to the development of effective strategies to build awareness, engagement, and action from target audiences.

The Student Photographer will photograph and/or record major university events, department functions, marketing campaign shoots, and take portraits of staff and students.

This individual will edit and share photo collections with clients and the team in a timely manner; sometimes same-day edits are required for posting on social media and other platforms.
