Loretta Singleton, Director
Loretta Singleton is Director of Advancement Services. She is responsible for the daily operations of the department with special focus on alumni and donors of the university. She strategizes best practices for Advancement Services processes and reporting tools. Loretta earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, majoring in Management from Columbus State University. Prior to returning to Lafayette in 2008, Loretta served as Sr. Asset Coordinator for Synovus Family Asset Management, a division of Synovus Trust Company, N.A.
Sherri Desormeaux, Systems Administrator
Sherri is responsible for maintaining and supporting the Alumni and Donor database, as well as network, pc and printer support at the Alumni Center. A Lafayette native, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 1988 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Prior to joining the Advancement staff in 2005, she worked as an office manager for Weeks Construction of Lafayette, and as MIS Administrator at Crossroads Hospitality in Orlando, FL. While a student, she was a member of the Association of Computing Machinery, the USL Marching Band, Concert Band and L’Acadians Winter Guard, and was a member of the 1983 DCI World Champion Garfield Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps. She currently volunteers in the video production booth at Our Savior's Church.
Dan Hare, Facility Manager and Special Events Coordinator
Dan is responsible for the management of the Alumni Center and the coordination of all activities, programs and special events hosted there by University departments, student organizations, and community partners, as well as a limited number of private events. He also assists the President’s office with coordinating a variety of special events across campus, both traditionally scheduled and one-time only celebrations. Dan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance, from UL Lafayette in 1983. Prior to joining the Advancement Services staff in 2011, Dan had worked in Alumni Affairs since 1997 and ultimately served as Executive Director of the Alumni Association for eight years. He had previously worked in Student Affairs as Assistant Dean of Student Personnel, Union Program Advisor and Assistant Director of Housing. Dan had also been an active volunteer with the Alumni Association for several years, having served as chairman of the 1996 Alumni Homecoming Committee and he was the recipient of the Alumni Service Award in 1997. Dan is a native of Lafayette and has been active in many community organizations, currently serving on the executive boards of the Acadiana Center for the Arts and Friends of Louisiana Public Broadcasting.
Cindy Landry, Micro Information Systems Specialist 1
Cindy is responsible for data entry of all gifts and information processing in the Alumni and Donor database. She runs monthly membership renewal reports, gift batch reports and assists as needed in other reporting areas. She earned a degree from UL in General Studies in 2002. She has been employed by UL Advancement Services for the past 18 years. Prior to that, she was employed by Lafayette Parish Consolidated Government JTPA as an MIS Technician. She has been a resident of Lafayette for the past 22 years and is married to fellow UL Alum, David K. Landry, ‘98. They have two children, Laura and Rebecca.
